I’m in operations and roll my eyes when I see someone describe themselves as an operator.

At Databricks they’re responsible for the creation, care, and feeding of the AI agents we have in production. As these start to perform real use cases, you have to ensure they’re actually delivering the outcomes they were designed to do… and don’t drift. More often than not they’re resolving upstream data/context issues and now cost optimization with model selection and testing.

I'm sure this will only be used for "racing"

2027 will be the year of model caps & optimization. Local >> cheap >> premium, depending on the task, your role, and expectations. Tokenomics are coming.

“Prove to me you drove $100k with of value with your usage.”

My 9 yo corrected me the other day. “That’s not a barn owl, it’s a barrad owl.” I had to google it. Apparently they’re both a thing.

> barrad owl

I am not an ornithologist, but I’m assuming that’s a typo for barred owl?

Who’s going out of the gate first, Anthropic or Space X. Sequencing probably matters more than it should.

Are dates set for this one or Space X? Who will “ring the bell first”, so to speak. I think the sequencing here matters more than it should.
