I'll say this again: Ted shouldn't have wasted everyone's time highlighting the response time of the request. He effectively benchmarked V8 right on his blog and then called it slow. Now everyone's complaining that people at least demonstrate that part to be untrue.
Ironically, every one of his clients in the ab concurrency test will receive their responses before the users of the hypothetically parallel Python and Ruby services, because Node responds an order of magnitude faster. So he didn't actually demonstrate a problem.
