USA entered the World Cup ranked 13th in the world, while Costa Rica were placed 32nd (from their Elo Ratings (http://eloratings.net/)). Both teams, if they make it into the quarter finals, would probably face buzzsaws (Netherlands for CRC and Argentina for USA).
